International Fact-Checking Day is held every year on April 2. Coordinated by the International Fact-Checking Network, it is an annual occasion to celebrate fact-checking as an essential skill in journalism and public life.
A critical mind is an essential tool for all ages. Today’s class will introduce you to the basics of fact-checking
and help navigate through an ocean of information, rumors, hoaxes. We will talk about news consumption, discuss and watch real news, learn about basic fact-checking tools.
An introduction to the topic will be given by Maria Olson, U.S. Embassy Moskow Spokesperson.
