U.S. - Russia Bilateral Presidential Commission Lecture Series
Under the leadership of President Obama and President Medvedev, the U.S.–Russia Bilateral Presidential Commission is dedicated to identifying areas of cooperation and pursuing joint projects and actions that strengthen strategic stability, international security, economic well-being, and the development of ties between the Russian and American people.
The Bilateral Presidential Commission consists of several working topics (e.g. agriculture, civil society, health, nuclear energy, etc.), which are headed by working groups and sub-committees consisting of both American and Russian counterparts, with the goal of deepening cooperation and joint leadership in addressing new challenges in these areas.
Please join the American Center for an exciting new monthly lecture series with leading members of these working groups from the U.S. Embassy. Each month we will cover one of the working group topics, and discuss: what is covered under the general topic; what the U.S. and Russian positions are on this topic; what the successes and challenges are in this area; which organizations and government entities in Russia are involved in strategic development and discussions; why cooperation in this area is important to bilateral relations between our countries
This is a special opportunity for you to get involved in these debates and learn more about what you can do to be a part of these important discussions.
