Monday, July 20, 2009, will mark 40 years since the day Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin of the Apollo 11 mission became the first humans to land on the moon.
The American Center will celebrate this historic event with a talk by Patrick Buzzard, Acting NASA Russia Representative for the NASA Moscow Liaison Office at the US Embassy.
Mr. Buzzard has been with NASA for over 10 years. In his current position, he reports on all aspects of the NASA program, as well as monitors, executes, and supports NASA's programmatic and international cooperative activities with Russia. Mr. Buzzard holds undergraduate degrees in Psychology, History, and Anthropology, as well as a graduate degree from Texas A&M University in Business Administration/International Management and Policy Focus.
