Please join us on Friday, May 8th at 5 p.m. for the viewing of Vyacheslav Khotulyov’s documentary about the most atrocious Nazi concentration camp Auschwitz-Birkenau. The story that took place 70 years ago is told through the eyes of a former Auschwitz prisoner, who at the time of incarceration was just a six year old boy.
Throughout the movie random people on the streets of Moscow and Krakow are being asked the same questions: “What is ‘Auschwitz’?” and “Who liberated Birkenau?” The answers that we hear trigger deep, and sometimes discomforting, reflection.
Vyacheslav Khotulyov has produced more than 30 feature and documentary movies, many of which have been featured at Russian and international film festivals.
