Russia and the North: An Interactive Dialogue on Russia's Place in Northern Geopolitics

Please join us on Wednesday, 18 August 2010, from 6:30p.m. to 7:45p.m. for an engaging and interactive presentation entitled, "Russia and the North: An Interactive Dialogue on Russia's Place in Northern Geopolitics." This discussion will be moderated by Dr. Jeremy Tasch, a Fulbright-Hayes alumnus and Eurasian & Global Studies professor at Towson University. Dr. Tasch's research and experience specialize in geography, social theory of global environmental issues and political ecology of resource development in Eurasia, with particular emphasis on the Russian Far East and Arctic. This will be an interactive discussion - with the intention that the audience members will interact with Dr. Tasch and each other in a good debate about Russia's resource management strategy in the North and its domestic and international implications.
