Monday, June 28, 6pm. Certain environmental trends in Russia have the potential to impact the future development of business. Maria Landekhovskaya, Manager for Sustainable Development of The Coca-Cola Company in Russia, Ukraine and Belarus, will share with us current tendencies in the field of Corporate Environmental Responsibility and what The Coca-Cola Company does globally and locally in this field. Before joining Coca-Cola five years ago, Maria graduated with honors from Russian Peoples’ Friendship University, Faculty of Environmental Science (Master of Environmental Science). Her knowledge and experience with waste minimization was enhanced during internships at three governmental organizations and one private sector company in Columbus, Ohio (the Solid Waste Authority of Central Ohio; the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency; the Ohio Department of Natural Resources; and The Grossman Group, Inc.). Each of these organizations has a major focus on waste reduction that is enhanced by educational awareness programs. During her time in the United States she visited more than 50 companies in several states that deal with solid waste and incorporate waste reduction and recycling programs into their work.
