Billy Collins was elected for two terms as U.S. Poet Laureate – from 2001 to 2003 –
and was called by the New York Times as “the most popular poet in America.”
He then became Poet Laureate of New York state, and has received the prestigious National Endowment for the Arts and Guggenheim Foundation fellowships.
Author of several books and collections of poetry, his poems are often heralded as witty, moving, intelligent and funny.
Please join us for his first visit to Russia, and for a special evening of sharing poetry and discussing what makes poetry great.
